As an Afro Latina: Dominican, Panamanian, Jamaican, and African; family and culture are the pillars of what makes Tamara a force for her community. Growing up in the Bed Stuy “Do-Or-Die” section of Brooklyn, New York, Tamara has experienced first hand survival against all odds, and doesn’t look like what she’s been through.
Her compassion, sincerity, and patience puts her in a league of her own. From being a Straight-A student, to winning a New York City modeling contract at the age of 16, Tamara fully embraces the philosophy "change your thinking, change your life!” Determined that there is purpose in her pain, Tamara is driven to share with others what she wished was shared with her. She speaks from the perspective of being a survivor, honor student, teacher, and first generation Afro-Latina graduate.
As an alumna of NYC’s renowned Fashion Institute of Technology, Tamara was the first in her family to graduate college. As the youngest sibling, her passion for education inspired most of her family to achieve higher education. Tamara has been boosting student retention as an Educator for nearly 10 years, and is fondly known as “Ms. T”. She has used her expertise in the beauty industry to help her students walk in purpose, live their passion, perfect their craft, become entrepreneurs, and maximize opportunities through guidance and support.

WHAT'S TAMARAS GOAL?
"My goal is to help millions take action to live on purpose. Through speaking, I've watched lives change, healing begin, forgiveness start, hate stop, and love begin. Through the power of words, I've witnessed many reach incredible possibilities. I speak to share with others what I wish was shared with me. "
